No hanging clothes outside!  Electric dryers for you from now on.  April fresh smelling clothes are the price you pay for daring to move on up, to the East Rock side of New Haven.

This week, we will learn about the Italian-American sororities through the words of “Louise,” a Phi Theta member.  Phi Theta was established in 1930, making it the last Italian-American sorority on campus. 

In contrast to “Sally’s” story, “Louise” is from an upper-middle class family. They live on Whitney Ave, near East Rock in what is still an upscale area of New Haven. She tells a decidedly different version of Greek life, one with teas, dates, and trips to the beach.
